On 7th February, talented linguists in Year 9 took part in the Business Language Champions ‘Glastonbury goes global’ challenge alongside other schools.

Students worked in teams to design a festival site map and advertisement poster in French. Students also asked and answered questions in French with staff from ‘Business language champions’ over Zoom and prepared and delivered a presentation. Students demonstrated fantastic team working and communication skills and we are thrilled that one of our De Aston teams took 1st place! Félicitations Jordan, Tom, Evie, Izzi, Megan and Millie!

On the 13th December, some our talented linguists took part in the ‘Sweet marketing’ challenge hosted by ‘Business language champions’.

The virtual challenge saw our Year 9 students working in teams to remarket Jelly Babies to a European market! Sally Fagan from ‘Business language champions’ commended the students on their enthusiasm and creative ideas, bravo!
